Pension Transfer

Simplify your retirement planning

Whether you haver a single pension, or various seperate investment pots, we can help you.

Important information - Transferring isn't right for everyone.

If you’re thinking about transferring a pension, check you won't lose valuable guarantees or benefits or have to pay excessive exit fees. This website isn’t personal advice, if you’re not sure what’s right for you, please seek financial advice.

You can normally only access the money in a pension from age 55 (rising to 57 from 2028). Pension and tax rules can change and benefits depend on your circumstances and location.

  • A pension transfer is when you move your pension savings from one plan to another, or the consolidation of multiple schemes into a single pot. This could be with another provider.

  • All your pensions in one location

If you have had various employers, you may have several pension pots, having more than one psnsion pot may become difficult and confusing. Bringing pensions together can make things easier to manage, and help you understand your retirement savings.

  • Refine or remove unwanted costs

A different scheme could charge less than your current provider(s), if you have more than one pension, consolidation may remove duplicated charges or running fees.

  • Your pension, your choice

Not all pensions, offer the full range of options for taking your money - we can help you find a scheme that suits yoru requirmeents, from tax-free lump sums to a guaranteed income for life (annuity).

  • Get the most from your savings

You might not be happy with the performance of your existing arrangements, or may prefer to have more involvement in the investment strategy of your savings through an alternative scheme.

  • To transfer your pension, all you need is the name of your pension provider, your pension plan number, and a rough value. All of these should be on a recent statement. Remember you'll need to check there are no benefits or guarantees you'd lose on transfer. You may find these mentioned in the statement or any other pension documents you have.

  • If you can’t find a policy number then you can find the contact details for a workplace or personal pension scheme using the Government Pension Tracing Service
